Black Tongue are a Death Metal band from Hull who ran a competition for fans to design the cover art for a re-release album of their first 2 EP's.
The brief was to create a striking image for the album's cover.
It was important to me to try and portray the dark mood of the band’s music, mixed with my own feelings and ideas from listening to their music and seeing them live. I was also keen to work with the band's really interesting logo and ended up incorporating it heavily into the design.
